LED ZEPPELIN II ROBERT LUDWIG HOT MIX RL SS first pressing with RL side one and RL SS side two. SP on labels, Specialty Pressing (hard to find). Vinyl side one Good grade due to described groove wear issue near end of side one last track. Vinyl side two Very Good grade.

The 50+ year old record played through, has some scuffs and scratches, hairlines with a couple barely feelable. Part of a track has groove wear that causes an audio issue described below. There are very small bumps in the vinyl that are there from the original pressing which may cause some ticks heard with music and I tried to show some of them in several photos. Also, a small ding on the outside edge, shown in photo, does not affect playing.

Did not skip on my upgraded Rega Planar 3 with Dynavector 10x5 cartridge.

I vacuum cleaned it using Tergi-kleen.

Following are play notes for each track:

Side One (Good grade due to track four issue)

Track One: a few light ticks

Track Two: a moderate repeat tick first half quieter parts

Track Three: starts with repeat ticks through track with the music

Track Four: begins light ticks, louder ticks at end. Last part of track groove wear causes a few lyrics to be heard faintly in right channel before hearing them louder in left channel.

Side Two (Very Good grade)

Track One: a few ticks early - mostly clean

Track Two: played clean

Track Three: played well, very light ticks

Track Four: some repeating ticks during a quiet part and louder at the end

Track Five: starts moderate ticks and some at very end

Vinyl grade Side One Good/Side Two Very Good. See grading scale below for descriptions.

The Cover is Very Good has edge and spine wear, Spine four inch split, bottom seam 3/4 split.

Inner sleeve is original small splits, provided with Mofi archival sleeve.

GRADING SCALE: M Mint - usually reserved for sealed records. NM Near Mint with only one or two insignificant defects. EXC Extremely nice, would be NM except for a few light hairline scratches or scuffs which do not affect play. VG+ A nice but used record that may have a series of light scuffs or scratches. It may play with a few pops or ticks but no serious problems. VG A well used record that still sounds OK but may have moderate surface noise, pops, etc. G A very worn record that plays through will do until a better copy comes along!
