Description
See my other auctions this week for a group of rare US and UK issue rock LPs! Here’s a rare copy of Led Zeppelin II. This is the very FIRST pressing of the album, which is known as the Bob Ludwig Loud Mix. The initials “RL” are in the trailoff on both sides. Copies of this album were recalled off store shelves when complaints from buyers rolled in. The music was recorded so loudly onto the disc that cheaper record players of the day couldn’t track the grooves. But, when played on a mid to high end system, this record sounds absolutely awesome. The disc grades VG+ due to some light scuffing throughout, nothing deep. The cover is in exceptional shape. There’s a bit of edge wear near the mouth of the jacket, but the rest of the cover displays a “like new” appearance. The original Atlantic inner sleeve is included as well. Nice copy! Drop me a message if ebay doesn’t calculate shipping for you. California residents add 8.225% tax. Happy bidding!!
I've had a few requests for the matrix numbers on this LP. Here they are: Side A is ST-a-691671-MO-CC RL SS MR (in a circle) TE (Delta Symbol) 13933 3 (in a circle) W AT. Side B is ST-A-691672-MO 4A MR (in a circle) TE AT RL SS (Delta Symbol) 13933-X W. The trail-off on side two is also very narrow, more narrow than most pressings of this LP I have seen.
