Description
I am having a clear out of a few duplicate versions of albums I have had in my own collection for many years. This is one of a few UK early press Led Zep albums I am listing, all are in superb condition, otherwise I wouldn't still have them after all this time !!! This is "Led Zeppelin III" on the plum coloured Atlantic label and is a 1970 UK 1st press. Matrix numbers (hand-scribed) are "Do What Thou Wilt" 2401002 A-5 "So Mote it Be" 2401002 B-5 . The labels bear the Peter Grant credits. Apart from a couple of very small wispy marks the vinyl is close to a near mint. Visually I will grade it as Excellent ++, but audio is definitely a near mint with no issues, the sound is clean and clear indicating a minimum of plays in its life. Any lines on the vinyl in my scans are simply light reflections and not on the record. The cover apart from one very small blemish to bottom back corner grades near mint with fully working wheel, no creasing and fully straight and readable spine. The album comes in its original poly lined inner sleeve with patent numbers 800513 & 973939 with date code 0970 (for 1970) which is in excellent condition. The labels are near mint with only the very slightest of spindle marks very near the centre hole, denoting perhaps a handful of plays maximum. A super album that will only appreciate in value and for 99.9 % of collectors won't require upgrading . See all the scans using the enlargement tool for a full appreciation.
