Led Zeppelin III 3 LP UK 1st Issue GREAT PRESS A5/B5 [Ex+/Ex]

An original 1st issue of Zep II on UK Atlantic from 1970. Matrix A5/B5. Please note by late 1970 Zeppelin were a world wide phenomena. The interest in ZepIII would have been enormous and there was a massive pre-order made to meet expected demand. The very 1st pressings with the PETER GRANT label will exist within the early stages of the enormous pre-order ready for the day of release. This copy whilst 1st issue [from the time of release] is not the very 1st label variation. But this copy would have been available for purchase as the album charted - and is equal in standard and carries the exact same audio [1st press matrix A5/B5]. Why do folks love the red & Plum copies - because these are the copies that can actually give you that true rendition of Zep with full power & glory. Later copies while perfectly good do not seem to carry quite the same weight and authority. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original DELUXE 1st issue cover [E J Day printed on solid card]. The spinning wheel is fully operational. We also have the original inner sleeve date coded to autumn 1970. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) A lovely looking copy which has only seen light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of light marks per side - nothing heavy or likely to trouble. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across superb clarity. So, how do you know you're onto a good copy? PLAY 'Since I've Been Loving You' - this a bloody fussy track...it will trip up most copies. If you can find this one playing clean it.. a)sounds awesome and b)means the rest of the LP is likely to be of an equally high standard. This LP has been really taken care of. The audio is lush, detailed, and clean throughout. I couldn't detect more than a few crackles in one isolated moment per side. A total treat to listen to. Play clean on the intro into 'Gallows'. The only deviation is a couple of minor ticks as Friends starts up. That is ALL - and no big deal in anyway. The most impressive thing to take on board is the quality level of the audio - and that it plays consistently clean into all areas. Highly recommended!
Cover (Ex) A lovely looking original - these covers often surface with a lot of ageing - or the printing fault on the rear with lots of laminate creases. Thankfully this copy is only effected by very slightest ageing at extremities and there's only one laminate crease on the rear. Effectively this is better looking than 90% of copies. Lovely clean front, rear, and interior without issue [except that one solitary factory crease on the rear]. Edge wear is very slight for this title and the openings edges are still nice and sharp. The spine looks excellent with all text fully legible. Overall the cover retain excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No edge splits. One tear repaired at die-cut opening.
