Description

An original 2nd issue of Zep III on the UK Atlantic Red & Plum label from late 1971. Matrix A5/B5. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original 1971 German printed cover. Please note early UK 70's copies would have been found strictly with a UK printed sleeve by Ernest J Day and, thus, we are pricing this LP accordingly...
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks and one vaguely feelable mark. Do not worry about this mark - I have fully tested it and it is barely audible... a couple of crackles that's all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an, at least, EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are quiet and the audio comes across with very good clarity. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a touch of light static in a couple of the quieter passages. Needless to say the audio quality is top-draw as you would expect from one of these early red & plum copies.
Cover (Ex) Could grade a bit higher frankly, but is just let down by the fact that the inner wheel has slipped off the central pin. You can still move it around ok - but just not swiftly/easily. In all other respects this is a superbly preserved cover. Beautifully white inside and out with very little ageing at all. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
