Description
This is a genuine early pressing of Led Zeppelin IV - 2401012, it is from my private collection.
Vinyl is in very good condition with the odd surface mark which does not affect playback, on playing there is slight surface noise on run in between tracks (it is known that audibility of surface noise can be very dependant on stylus type used). I have a high quality MC cartridge that picks up on surface noise and I find playback acceptable. Sleeve has slight edge wear as shown in the photos, Record has been properly cleaned on vacuum machine and placed inside new poly sleeve. Original inner sleeve has writing on it as shown in photos.
If you want a genuine copy then don't miss this one. Average prices exceed £100 for VG-VG+ copy, I have started this at a sensible level.
Details of the authenticity are as below, I have tried to be as accurate as possible.
In the UK, there are at least seven known vinyl red/plum 7-digit Deluxe cat# versions. To help simplify Release Notes, it may be easier to add the Version Number as below (Plus any potential variants to that numbered Version):
1. Label: Version 1
Original issue, Grant credit & inverted feather logo on B-side
2. Label: Version 2
As Version 1, but with feather logo corrected on B-side.
3. Label: Version 3
As Version 1 misprinted inverted feather logo on B-side, but with two label over-stickers.
4. Label: Version 4
Grant credit erased by 2 label over-stickers to Version 2. One adding band name at top, the other adding publishers/producer at bottom.
5. Label: Version 5
Stickers replaced by printed credits for the Version 3 data. However, B-side has title wrongly as 'Misty Mountain Top'. "Under licence..." text also added below Atlantic logo.
6. Label: Version 6
As Version 5, but Yet the feather logo is again inverted on B-side.
7. Label: Version 7
B-side track corrected to 'Misty Mountain Hop' and yet the feather logo is again inverted on B-side.
8. Label: Version 8
As Version 5, but B-side track corrected to 'Misty Mountain Hop' and the feather logo on B-side corrected and is the right way up. This I believe is 8. Label: Version 8 version: as below 'Plum' Atlantic pressing on red/white/plum label.
Specific to this label are:
'Marketed by Polydor Records Limited' at 6 o'clock on labels.
'Under license from Atlantic Recording Corp.' in the Orange section. above the White Strip
Catalogue number at 3 o'clock above circular Atlantic logo reads 'deluxe 2401012'
There is no Peter Grant credit, and song publishing "Stickered" (Below track titles) credits are:
Kinney Music Ltd./Superhype Music Inc.
This release was commonly referred to as 'Led Zeppelin IV', to follow in sequence with their previous three releases, but no actual title appears on the release.

The record will be carefully packaged and P&P in the UK will be 1st class signed for but will only be insured for £50, if you required higher insurance then it will be £8.60 special delivery, and you need to request this.
If outside the UK then please request/check postage costs and indicate insurance requirements.
