PINK FLOYD
Soundtrack From The Film "More"

1970s UK COLUMBIA (SCX 6346) *FACTORY SAMPLE* PRESSING OF PINK FLOYD'S "More" LP - THEIR SOUNDTRACK TO THE 1969 BARBET SCHROEDER FILM
THIS COPY IS IN BARELY PLAYED CONDITION - DELIVERING EXCELLENT SOUND (THIS IS A DIFFICULT RECORD TO FIND IN DECENT PLAYING CONDITION) AND IT'S HOUSED IN A CLEAN AND FRESH NEAR MINT COVER

'More' is the first full-length soundtrack album by Pink Floyd, released on 27 July 1969.
'More' contains some acoustic folk ballads, a genre that appeared sparsely on later works.
It also contains a couple of hard rock songs ("The Nile Song", "Ibiza Bar"), as well as several instrumental tracks, featuring their experimental, avant-garde approach.
This is Pink Floyd's first full album without founding member Syd Barrett, who left the group in early 1968 during the recording of their previous album, A Saucerful of Secrets.
It is also the first album to be produced by Pink Floyd without assistance from Norman Smith and was recorded at Pye Studios, Marble Arch, London and engineered by Brian Humphries

THE RECORD IS HOUSED IN FRONT LAMINATED NON-FLIPBACK "GARROD & LOFTHOUSE" PRINTED SLEEVE WITH A GREY TINTED REAR WITH THE COUPLE FACING RIGHT

Side 2: MAIN THEME / IBIZA BAR / MORE BLUES / QUICKSILVER / A SPANISH PIECE / DRAMATIC THEME

LABELS: Clean, bright and unmarked labels with barely a spindle trace to be seen - maybe one or two max. The FACTORY SAMPLE sticker has some age-related discolouration but shows no sign of attempted removal. This copy has probably only been played one or twice - NEAR MINT
VINYL Visual: The vinyl surfaces retain their original deep glossy sheen with a few light brush marks/scuffs but in essence the record has the appearance of hardly ever being touched - EXCELLENT
VINYL Audio: In my experience this record is practically impossible to find in what I would call MINT condition (I have never heard a pristine playing copy) and even though this one has the common light 'ticks' there are no scratches or other audio imperfections and it's actually one of the best I've heard - there is no hint of groove-wear or distortion and the sound is very clean with no prominent surface noise. Overall, a very fine 1970s pressing - critically graded a strong EXCELLENT (if not better)
SLEEVE: The cover is crisp, clean and factory-fresh with no real wear to speak of on either the edges or spine - where all text is clear and bold. Just a little very minor record impression on the front and back - NEAR MINT
