Owned by me from new in 1979 and hardly ever played. As you can see above the vinyl is beautiful, no spindle wear, no static or surface noise, no scratches, just perfect- well in my opinion it is ! All the sleeves are Near Mint, the outer brown bag, the actual Sleeve is glossy and thick cardboard and the inner is perfect BUT I did trigger the water colour paint effect so note that if it is important to you ?!
It has just been professionally deep cleaned too so the vinyl looks like its brand new. Well I have only played it about 5 times so its not far off new is it ? I just never clicked with this album to be honest with you. I suppose with punk and new wave coming on to the music scene and I was only 16 when this album came out and I bought it, I was morphing into the Police and The Cars, you know the newer bands around.
As some of you now know it is my recent diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease that makes me (plus the wife !?!?!) have to think about downsizing my 10,000 odd record collection. We need to move to a bungalow type dwelling and I doubt they have the ability to store all my massive collection? So she who must be obeyed says "sell it "!!!!!
The matrix run out information is:-
Side 1 SSK 59410 A5 STRAWBERRY Side 2 SSK 59410 B#5 STRAWBERRY S-22
So a genuine 1st pressing albeit variant 2 I believe. Sleeve is Version is "D". I mean it would be as I did buy it the first day it was released way back in the day. Bought at HMV in Leeds, England if I recall correctly. Yes, as previously stated the outer brown bag is in near mint condition too, all in all a pretty near perfect example of this "Sleeve D " version ?
