Description

This vinyl is brand new and unplayed no shrink-wrap or polybag. MOTHERSHIP is an epic and unprecedented 24-track compilation representing the very best of Led Zeppelin. The career-spanning songs were selected, sequenced and remastered under the supervision of band members Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones. The CD version of this title was released in late 2007 to coincide with the group's historic reunion for a benefit concert in London supporting the Ahmet Ertegun Education Fund and honoring Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun, who passed away in 2006. MOTHERSHIP will be available soon on audiophile vinyl as a collectible 4-LP 180-GRAM VINYL BOX  SET edition. This vinyl edition features new liner notes by renowned rock journalist David Fricke. After experiencing the band's December 2007 performance at the Ertegun tribute show - with original drummer John Bonham's son Jason on drums - Fricke wrote in Rolling Stone that, “The only message they left behind was, 'We were the best - and still are.'”
