Leroy Vinnegar

The Kid  (PBR International)  (1974)

Record Grade: VG+  (Some surface scratches. Plays with some light surface sound between tracks and during softer passages. Overall, a very clean sounding copy)

Cover: VG-  (Moderate ring wear on front and back. Punchout on top. 1/4" lower right seam split. Station stamp on front and back)

"The Kid" is a very playful album that stretches out from has "Glass Of Water" sessions. Maybe it's the inlcusion of a synthesizer, or the off use of a banjo for a few of the tracks, but this is a very special and original sounding LP. I had heard that he included musicians from a youth group he was teaching, back the back cover belies this a bit as the session men look to be adult pros.
