Description

An original very 1st press of TRANSFORMER on UK RCA. Matrix 1E/1E - 1st cut. Note the labels are consistent with 1st press. Shiny heavy pressed vinyl - 'Stereo' showing at 12 o'clock. The vinyl comes housed in an original C&B cover. 
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In beautiful condition and has only seen very light use. Under close inspection I could only make out a couple of very light marks per side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are lovely and quiet and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. A marvellous rendition - you'd struggle to match it that's for sure. A lovely clean player throughout - even into those slow low-key moments. All I could detect was a couple of minor crackles in that mega fussy intro to Perfect Day - really nothing to get concerned about. This copy will execute PD better/cleaner than 90% of copies. An all rounder with very little to complain at. Highly recommended.
Cover (Ex) For whatever reason a very very difficult cover to find in truly top condition. It usually has a lot of surface wear, or bending, or discolouration. But this example is truly a beautiful looker. Firstly, there's no sign of ageing at all, or discolouration. That iconic image on the front is as well preserved as I've ever seen. Deep blacks and untarnished whites. No surface wear. There's just that sticker top right. Don't go thinking you can remove it - don't even try! Any how - a small price to pay for such a pristine looking cover. The rear is looking equally good - absolutely superb. Edge wear is almost totally absent from this copy and the openings are still sharp. The spine is 100% perfect - wow, how unusual is that. Nice pointy corners. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A truly remarkable looking copy.
