Description

A 1st pressing of Transformer from 1972 on UK RCA. Matrix 1E/1E. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original cover print by Clout & Baker.
Vinyl (Ex) In superb shape, shiny like new, and has clearly only seen the lightest of use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out a single mark. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with top level clarity and only light occasional interference. I can assure you these early copies sound absolutely superb - the warmth you get from them is...lush [for want of a better word!]. Interference is minimal. We detected a touch of light static in track 1 side 2 and a couple of crackles in 'Perfect Day', but very little else worthy of note.
Cover (Ex-) Someone's clearly looked after this copy. There's some light handling wear in places - just some light ring wear, but nothing unsightly. Edge wear is minimal and the spine is entirely intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
