Mega rare and hard to find 1992 Reader’s Digest Australia 8LP Boxed Set of Luciano Pavarotti recordings, all recorded for Decca Records and issued by Reader’s Digest under license from PolyGram Records. An incredibly popular operatic tenor, Italian born Pavarotti crossed over into the popular music market, becoming one of the most commercially successful tenors of all time, recording both in his own right, and as one of the ‘Three Tenors’. Sadly he passed away in 2007 at age 71 - many considered him to be one of the finest tenors of the 20th Century and quite possibly one of the greatest tenors of all time. This collection features 82 recordings on 8 albums. Housed in a black glossy box, with removable lid, both box and lid in excellent condition with the lightest of wear. Contains a small booklet, which is the standard size booklet for Readers Digest CD releases. The Vinyl LPs are housed in generic die cut sleeves and the LPs are in excellent condition (except for Disc 5 – a couple of scuffs). This is a superb introduction to Luciano Pavarotti’s immense catalogue of recordings - RDR4-550/0
