Toronto Canada's answer to the sunny sunshine sounds of the '68 West Coast scene. Enjoy this bit a pure pop sunshine from Peter Mann,Lee Harris, Laurie Hood and Future TV and Movie star Victor Garber...The Sugar Shoppe sit way to the pop end of the psychedelia spectrum, with beautiful accessible melodies, and thoughtful lyrics. It's mostly original material but they also cover tunes like Donovan's 'Skip Along Sam' and Bobbie Gentry's 'Pappa Wont You Let Me Go to Town" which works wonderfully for them. Like those from the groovy Los Angeles 'sixties sunshine sounds', the male-female harmonies are wonderful throughout. Recommended to anyone into sixties psychedelic pop or just beautiful harmony singing
