Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Original 1969 first pressing vinyl of the 4th BLUE CHEER album, released just a few months after "New! Impoved Blue Cheer!"....

The mighty BLUE CHEER adding a thicker sound to the proceedings, with multiple layers of guitars, keyboards, harmonicas, and backing vocals, but much too often, they don't sound like anything in the depths of your mind. 'Rock And Roll Queens' might boogie along powerfully, with several ass-kicking guitar parts, a bold vivid organ line, and Peterson's wild yelling, all raising steam, but when you get down to it, the song is so primitive it's surprising it actually manages to exist.

Allow yourself to simply have a good ol' rock-n-roll time, and Blue Cheer will still provide you with two sides of entertainment. Good old blues-rock, dressed up in big arrangements, with an adequate bunch of vocalists - stuff like that never really hurt anybody, highlighted by a pretty damn cool riff in 'Natural Man'. A barroom rocker if there ever was one, an honestly catchy one. The boys are also using outside songwriter Gary Yoder (KAK) to pen two of the songs, including the album-closing number 'The Same Old Story', built as sort of a "dialogue" according to the same principle as the one in the Stones' 'Dear Doctor'. The message is simple, "I'm being cheated, she's denying I'm being cheated", and the half-drunk, sloppy refrain, "oh no, it's the same old story, I have to hear it over again" should be considered a classic moment in the history of rock'n'roll, or, at least, in the history of barroom rock. .

'Hello LA, Bye Bye Birmingham', is another we like and considered one of the best on the album with its "hiccupy" organ riff and anthemic chorus; and Bruce Stephens' lengthy psychedelic jam 'Saturday Freedom', the heaviest, longest, and another best of the album with a long guitar jam from Blue Cheer ... Besides 'Natural Man' and 'The Same Old Story' are on our list of "really cool songs nobody knows about" ...

CONDITION: The Cover: solid all over; MINT in factory cellophane ...NO delete marks!  Hardly EVER found THIS clean ...final collection copy, none around any better! NO delete marks (rare for this cover)...no bends, no writing and no split seams

The Vinyl: all glossy over both sides, rated: M- TOP CLEAN play graded excellent here, no problem keeper...with clean Philips labels
