PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. HIGHLY scarce 1971 issue in fragile laminated cover of the mighty BRUNNING SUNFLOWER BLUES BAND, legendary within the circles of the sixties British blues-boom scene with connections to both Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac and Savoy Brown.... Ulate 60's British blues boom
Recorded in the thick of things within the UK blues scene of 1968... The album open with the likable, moaning slow blues of "Gone back home" followed by the up beat, bossa nova-ish "Hit that wine" (written by Brunning) then comes the perfect, easy shuffling title track (again impressively written by Brunning). The next track is a very good chunky keys led blues-groove called "No idea" (as legend has it, due to not being able to come up with a title for it). After a soothing finish we get a white noise Peter Green Fleetwood Mac type rocker in "Shout Your Name and Call It" and then the side ends with the Brunning penned, attention grabbing nasty "Take Your Hands Off Me". Side 2, the campy "Big Belly Blues", again, written by Brunning about his then pregnant wife, and he also wrote the closing good time swing of "Rockin' chair". There's the aptly titled "Sunflower Boogie" (a rumbling keyboard led bloues boogie by the band's keys player Bob Hall, under the pseudonym "Sunflower" from the band's moniker, and thus starts the tradition of a Hall solo piece on each BSBB album), the slow "'Fore time began" (with well placed piano) and the fast shouting shuffle of "Something tells me".

CONDITION: The Cover: Very fragile laminated 40+ year old UK release is M- in great shape, having only a little minor crinkle at top right corner that doesn't detract from the otherwise bright, stiff cover... back cover is M- too with exception of little rub wear at bottom left that is only noticed if hunting closely for... no split seams, no problems otherwise...
The Vinyl: very clean and clear M- looking just great...both sides play terrific, no audio problems...both gold labels are clean
