British 1st release of the original TV soundtrack to "Maigret” (1963), featuring an original score by Ron Grainer.

The TV series starred Rupert Davies in the title role after Basil Sydney, who had played Maigret in the pilot episode, was unable to continue. It also featured Ewen Solon, Neville Jason, Victor Lucas and Helen Shingler.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): Vinyl: G-VG. Both sides look unsoiled. Some light hairlines, marks and scuffs across both sides. A few more on side 2, but nothing major – and no deep scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is good overall but very good in places. Surface noise and crackling at run-ins. Mild surface noise is more obvious during quieter cues and between tracks. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking.
Outer Sleeve (Cover): G-VG. Colours remain bright and unfaded. Superb laminated front. Disc ring outline visible. Some creasing in from edges and curved creases across front and in corners. Delamination damage in a few places. Edges and spine in great shape those spine has one split and one crease. Corners lightly worn but aperture corners slightly buckled. Aperture has some peeling, discolouration and light dogearing. Back of sleeve has dark disc ring, a number of stains and yellowing but overall in good shape. Flipbacks present and attached with staining on inner bands.
Inner Sleeve: VG. Cream poly-lined paper with straight corners and centre hole. Folding and creasing but clean and intact.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
