Description
Beautiful pair of Marty Robbins Gunfighter LPs, both on beautiful first pressing 1950s Columbia 6-Eye labels, plus the original El Paso 45 with the rare picture sleeve:
1) Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs, the classic featuring El Paso, on Columbia mono CL-1349. The disc has. T he some scuffs and superficial marks, but it plays near flawlessly and just beautifully. Looks VG but really it plays E. The cover has a good deal of edge-fraying, with a 1.5" split at the top. Also a black mark at the lower left, abs some general wear overall, but still intact and quite nice. It sounds just amazing on a first pressing mono copy.
2) More Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs, on Columbia mono CL 1481. The disc is very nearly perfectly mint and plays completely flawlessly. The cover is very nice, with a touch of edge-fraying at the upper left, and some light corner rubbing. Other than that it is a beautiful cover, with only light shelfwear.
3) El Paso b/w Running Gun on Columbia 45 4-41511. The disc has a few light scuffs but it plays just beautifully with only light crackle at the beginning before the music starts. Unbelievable sound on 45. The rare sleeve has some general shelfwear, with a 1cm tear at the top near the center, and a 2" seam split at the right edge at the top. But really beautifully intact and just lovely.
These are all just beautiful playing original copies. Hard to get in such shape.
