TODAY, I'M SELLING SOME OF MY MATERIAL/BILL LASWELL/LAST EXIT COLLECTION! THE VINYL HAS BEEN ON MY SHELF FOR DECADES! Read The Details Below... IMPORTANT NOTE: I haven't had a turntable since last century, so this sale needs to be considered "as is," but I will describe everything the best I can (please check my feedback). These albums were rarely played, and I would be surprised if most of these had any substantial turntable time (except Massacre, which I played a lot). I'm not a "record seller," and I don't know "grading," so you're stuck with my descriptions. If you're not happy after the sale, just contact me. I don't give PARTIAL refunds, but I WILL make sure you're satisfied.
See the other Laswell/Material/Last Exit in my store (use the 2nd search box). Just one shipping charge, no matter how many you buy. <----------------- Click On My "Rare Vinyl Records" Store Category And Save On Shipping!

OUTSTANDING! 1st US PRESS. No Important Issues. Only the beginnings of a ring (more of a vinyl "dent," actually) on front & back. A couple of barely nubbed corners. Vinyl appears excellent, despite the turntable time this one received. BONUS: I'll include a back-up CD-R, so you can have a digital version too. 4-1/2 Stars From The All Music Guide, who say... "Of the many obscure and wonderful albums recorded by members of the downtown avant-garde elite in the early 1980s, this is one of the most obscure and most wonderful." Pics are the actual item you're buying.

All music composed or improvised by Massacre. Recorded live at 24 rue Donois Paris, France in April 1981 and at OAO Studio, Brooklyn, New York in June 1981 (engineer Martin Bisi). Massacre was formed on February 14th 1980 at the request of Peter Blegvad.
PARTIAL ALL MUSIC GUIDE 4-1/2 Star REVIEW Of the many obscure and wonderful albums recorded by members of the downtown avant-garde elite in the early 1980s, this is one of the most obscure and most wonderful. Massacre was a challenging but quirkily charming "power trio" consisting of guitarist Fred Frith, bassist Bill Laswell and drummer Fred Maher, all of whom had already established themselves as movers and shakers in the experimental-music world. Some of the tunes, such as the charmingly offbeat "Legs" and "Aging With Dignity" were clearly composed ahead of time - probably by Frith, given his already-established penchant for combining weird instrumental textures and unusual time signatures with melodies. Others, just as clearly, are group improvisations. Those who think they don't care for improvised music are advised to give "Subway Heart" and "Tourism" a try before making any judgments. Again, the credit for the consistent appeal of these performances goes largely to Frith, whose bag of sonic tricks is bottomless and who (unlike most of his peers) seems genetically incapable of making an uninteresting note choice. It's difficult to imagine anyone with a taste for unusual rock & roll not being seduced by this rough gem of an album.
