Description
This is an ULTRA RARE copy of the classic “Master Tape” compilation LP released on Affirmation Records in 1982. These 25 tracks of classic early 80s American hardcore punk rock were assembled by Paul Mahern (of the Zero Boys)! With the exception of the FU's, the point of this compilation was to show (like "The Process of Elimination" 7in before it) the rest of the country how great the Midwestern bands were! I'd say he accomplished his goal.
The more well-known bands like Toxic Reasons, Zero Boys, Articles of Faith, F.U.s & Die Kreuzen contribute some amazing songs, some of which only appear on this compilation. The real treat of this comp, however, is all the extra stuff. Lots of underrated bands that only recorded demos or comp tracks and never made it into the history books. Only 1,000 copies of this LP were pressed in 1982.
Additionally, this copy includes the rare poster-lyric sheet. Most copies you see up here on Ebay do not contain the poster. The sleeve is in awesome shape (no tears, stains, rips, etc) with the exception of a little ringwear. It's not bad at all, especially because this is one of those old style sleeves with the brown cardboard on the inside (ala the FU's "My America" LP or the first pressing of the Germs "(GI)" LP). The vinyl is in awesome shape and plays without any skips! Overall, a great, complete package.

I am sorry that I have to do this but I have been ripped off by some very sketchy fellows in the last couple years who claimed they did not get their items and then filed a Paypal claim. This, of course, led to me losing both my item and the money paid. Because Paypal requires me to have a tracking number to be insured, I have to require international bidders to purchase one. A few bad apples ruin it for everything!
