Max Rostal on violin and Franz Osborn on piano performs Sonata No. 9 in A Major for violin and piano Opus 12 by Beethoven. The sonata is also known as the "Kreutzer" Sonata because it was written for Rodolfo Kreutzer, it was however first performed by the famous mulatto violinist George Bridgetower in a concert given in Vienna May 1803 with Beethoven playing the piano parts.
On Decca LXT 2732 gold/orange 1 edition (1A) heavy flat vinyl. In Classical Priceguide 2004 there is some mixup and this is registred as LXT 2752 but that must be a mistake. Their pricing is $ 215 for a NM!! Actually the most expensive item in their registry of Decca LXT. I start much lower. This is a very very rare LP in great condition!
Condition of item:
LP: VG+ This graduation has been changed due to me having it cleaned. There is some hiss and small tics but they are only heard in the quiet passages not much above my preamp noisefloor. LP has VERY dynamic and lifelike sound and no wear to the groove in load passages.
Cover and innnersleeve: EXC a bit of residue from the stickers that has been removed. Cover could be cleaner but this type of cover takes dirt in so easy. It is still complete and has no tears or wear..
Matrix / stamper: ARL 1179 1A.
I suggest you use the EBAY proxy-bidding and enter your absolute highest bid if you REALLY want the item, otherwise you are possibly out-run by the various bidding-robots being used. Just a friendly advice.
THANKS FOR VISITING MY AUCTION! Please have a look at my other interesting LP´s and albums up for auction right now. I have a lot of rare or interesting DECCA Deutche Grammophon ERATO Colombia RCA and EMI plus some danish rarities!
