** Fake Bids **
Like a lot of ska / reggae sellers on eBay, we are sometimes targeted by fake bidders who derive some kind of pleasure from disrupting auctions. Please be assured that we will not allow these sad individuals to spoil our auctions. Whenever possible, we monitor the countdown of each auction, and any fake bids are cancelled immediately. When fake bids are made within the last few seconds, and bid cancellation is not possible, they are disregarded. The 'true' winner is invoiced for the correct amount - i.e. the figure where they outbid the second highest legitimate bid. Thus you never pay prices inflated by fake bidders. We do ask that you honour your bids, even in those auctions that are affected by fake bids, and that you pay promptly.
MAYTONES - Funny Man / Champion (Explosion EX2012) - 7" - 1970
Original pressing of this Alvin Ranglin-produced Explosion 7" featuring The Maytones' Funny Man backed by Champion. The vinyl retains a decent sheen with light and a few lightish surface marks, light and some lightish hairlines and some light scratches and scuffs. Both sides play without sticking or jumping and the music comes through loud and clear - see the descriptions below and check-out the soundclips. Please Note - the centre has been removed on this copy.
A-side: A little crackly at the start, thereafter there is a small improving to tiny / very small amount of intermittent background surface noise with very small, small and some smallish pops and clicks plus a few more prominent ones. Grade - VG- improving to VG+
B-side: A little crackly at the start, thereafter there is a very small / small improving to tiny / very small amount of intermittent background surface noise with very small, small and occasional smallish pops and clicks plus a few slightly more prominent ones. Grade - VG improving to VG+/EX- Labels: Both labels are near pristine (see scan).*** More Roots, Dub and Dancehall 7" & 12" singles and LPs will be listed daily over the next few months ***
