This auction is for a STILL SEALED "MEATLOAF -- BAT OUT OF HELL" PROMOTIONAL PICTURE DISC.
I have seen a few different versions of this. The regularly released copy has bats all over the die cut sleeve. There is also a four-track version with the same photos printed on the disc (this copy contains the entire album). Finally, I have seen this copy listed as either a promotional copy, OR a Canadian copy. The Canadian photos I've seen have the Pic Disc logo in the bottom right corner on the back cover. THIS copy does NOT have this. There is no Pic Disc logo anywhere (just a line along the bottom saying "Pic Disc A Division of Fitzgerald-Hartley Co."). Also, there is no printing along the spine...no name, no catalogue number or label information...nothing. I believe this is the promotional issue of this 1977 classic.
Again, this copy is still sealed...but it does have one issue, which I'll get in to later. Pics #4 - 5 - 6 - 7 show each of the corners, starting on the top left corner. The top right, bottom right, and bottom left corners are poking through the shrink warp. The two right corners have snubs on them.
Flipping the album over, you can see a circle of wear and white spotting. The circle of wear is on (or mostly on) the shrink wrap. I sort of rolled the shrink wrap, and the wear "rolled" with the shrink. There is an air hole to the left of where it says "Side II".
Finally, the are white spots all over the back cover. See the last five pictures. These don't appear to be wear, but spots that occurred because of storage conditions. I don't think that they could be wiped off, but you're probably not going to open this package up anyway...
