MEGA-RARE PRIVATE PRESSING UK LP - "Folk '67"(Private Pressing). Recorded on behalf of the Federation Of Scottish Folk Song Clubs during 1967, this album is a "live" recording from a Concert given at The Pollock Hall in Edinburgh. There are many artists mentioned, but obviously, the most interesting is that this is the very FIRST Recording of Barbara Dickson - singing "The Dreadnought". Other names include John watt, Phil Taylor, Jock Ritchie, Cathy Batty etc etc. The sleeve gives very little information, but there is an Insert, listing all the artists and their songs, plus background info on the Federation as mentioned previously.(see scan). Condition-wise, the vinyl is in EX CONDITION, both (blank) labels also in EX CONDITION.The sleeve(with flipbacks) has a small water stain along both sides along the bottom edge, and there are handling marks, BUT no tears or any defacement. In all my years of record collecting, I have NEVER come across this item before!!
