The item you are bidding on is 1 copy of the Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs half speed mastered edition of "Genesis", "A Trick of the Tail", Vinyl LP. The vinyl is Near Mint with delightful gloss . Dust Jacket (Cover) EX- . The cover is in overall excellent shape and the central artwork is still bright. It shows just a few, mostly small, blemishes: The corners show a small amount of rounding and the upper left corner has a small compression crease about 1/8th of an inch from the corner. There is light line of dinge, for lack of a better term on the right front - it is not prominent but is noticeable. The interior of the gatefold cover shows a small half bubble on the lower right, and the disk has made an impression in the rear cover. (NOTE: The album cover shown is a representative image of the album cover not a photograph.)

Item will ship within approximately 72 hours of confirmed and cleared payment via USPS Media Mail (2-8 business days). (I strive to ship next day but sometimes the real world intervenes and weekends get in the way.)

Shipping Cost is computed based on the Media Mail Rate (2.89) (Note: 1 dollar additional per record up to a total of 5 for additional postage and handling) plus the cost of the Shipping Carton (which includes extra stiffeners to protect the record(s) and is a flat 1.70 up to 5 records.

Thus Total Shipping Cost For 1 LP = Postage (2.89) + Shipping Carton w/stiffeners (1.70) = $4.59

So buyer's shipping cost is $4.59 for 1 LP and 1 dollar each extra for the next 4.

Records are Shipped via USPS Media Mail in a carton specifically designed for LPs with extra reinforcement. I will combine orders up to a maximum of 5 discs per carton (the limit of the shipping cartons I use with stiffeners added).

Record Grading

All records are visually graded.

A note on Grading: The grading standards apply to the actual condition of the record and its cover. These gradings do not grade the quality of the actual pressing i.e., how good of a job was done in originally producing the album e.g., the presence or absence of tape hiss from the master session tapes.

A Key To The Grades:

MINT (M): No wear to the cover or record period! Unplayed condition and looks factory fresh.
Most dealers do not use this grade as no record is ever "perfect".

NEAR MINT or NM, and sometimes M-: A near perfect, likely unplayed, or played only very lightly on good equipment, record. Vinyl still has new gloss and there are
no visible imperfections. Cover shows no noticeable wear.

NEAR MINT MINUS or (NM-): Useful for describing a record that is in otherwise very good shape but has some one very minor thing which pulls it down slightly.

EXCELLENT or EX or VG++: Near perfect but one or two very minor defects. May have minor scuffs that are only slightly visible. Cover artwork is still close to perfect.
There may be some impression to the cover (ring wear). No seam splits or writing on the cover.

VERY GOOD PLUS or VG+: Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are "OK". Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves will have some slight wear, lightly turned up corners, or a slight seam split. An LP cover may have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out-hole, indentation or cut off corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount.

VERY GOOD or VG: This record is still good enough, a used, reasonable copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between
tracks or during quiet passages, but still quite nice. VG covers will look worn, used. There may be some seam splitting . There will be some ring wear, where the ink has begun to wear off. Giving the cover a look of snow falling.

VERY GOOD MINUS or (VG-): Has noticeable wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise. Slightly better than "GOOD" and is playable. Just recognize
that records in this category are NOT going to look factory fresh nor play that way. Cover may have seam splitting and significant snow while still being recognizable.

GOOD or G: A good record will look very well played, dull, grayish, and possibly abused. However a Good record should still play. It will have distracting surface noise. Such
as crackle that is continuous or some hiss. Will also have some loss of dynamics caused from grooves being worn. Good records are beat-up records that will still
play without skips from scratches.

Grades below good (fair and poor) are garbage and should only be purchased if it is a record that you absolutely must have for your collection. They will have significant
defects and may be unplayable. Records in these grades should be considered something to be upgraded to an album in better condition when one is available.

Still Sealed (SS) - In factory-fresh condition in the original factory shrink wrap (Does not apply to Japanese Pressings as they generally did not shrink-wrap their records).
