Description

Up for auction is a copy of Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab's release of The Grateful Dead's "American Beauty" Lp, catalog # MFSL 1-014,Specially plated and pressed on High Definition Super Vinyl by Victor Company Of Japan. originally released at the beginning of MFSL's 1st wave of vinyl releases in April of 1979. Songs on this disc include; "Box Of Rain","Friend Of The Devil", "Sugar Magnolia", "Operator", "Candyman", "Ripple", "Brokedown Palace","Till The Morning Comes", "Attics In My Life" and "Truckin". The vinyl is in "Mint-" condition, with no visible scratch marks on either side of the disc, when I studied it under a light bulb. When play grading this disc, I was amazed at the high fidelity this record delivers.The cover has no wring wear or seam splits. There is one small bend in the bottom left corner of the cover. The Lp comes with the oringinal cardboard stiffner.  This Lp is one of the best titles that MFSL ever released, and is becomming harder to locate in this condition. I have seen sealed copies of this Lp fetch over $150.00. The winning bidder will pay $4.50 for U.S. Mail's Media Mail service, this will include the first $50 worth of insurance.
