MICHAEL JACKSON: Smile, Dutch 1997 12" pressing, this is the ORIGINAL, not a bootleg. The pictures will speak for themselves. Anyone selling a copy of this with unclear pics will most likely be selling one of the bootlegs. This one is the original - and it's beyond rare. 19/20 copies featured on popsike.com are bootlegs. Maybe 1 or 2 originals there.
First of all, this original pressing has stamped matrixes - typical stampings for dutch 90s Epic vinyl. (Compare, for example, with dutch pressings of early to mid-90s Ozzy Osbourne LPs) See pics.
Secondly, the bar-code looks as it should, no broken bars.
Thirdly, all micro-details of the cover design reveal clearly that this is the real deal. The bootlegs simply does not look real when viewed up close. They do not have the small details correct. That's why you'll never see a bunch of sharp pictures in your usual Smile auction!
Any questions about all these concerns are welcome. It's incredible that bootlegs of this title can sell for 500 euro or more - we hope you have saved you money for the a real one, like this, to come along...
VINYL is MINT(-), played once or twice. VINYL is moderately WARPED, a common problem for the few known original pressings. The a-side curves a bit up and down when played, but the warp is soft, and has no effect on the play-quality. Sound is superb NM. The B-side looks close to normal when played, just a tiny warp.
COVER is MINT(-), as new.
