 PRESSING: Electric & Musical Industries (U.S.) Ltd. ANGEL RECORDS Made in Canada  33 1/3 RPM 12" 1st pressing.

GRADING: 

Record: NM. The record is visually perfect except for 1 minor surface scuff 1/8" wide on side 1 that does not affect play.

Label: NM. No spindle trails. A few finger ghosts.

Jacket: VG+.  No splits or ring wear - pen notation  B-21 in ink on front top left corner and back top both.. See photo.

Sleeve: The original wood spine sleeve in in excellent condition with 100% of the lettering present.

SOUND QUALITY: Both sides play through clean and clear with only the occasional tick and a normal amount of minor surface noise. There is the occasional brief noisy passage - 2 or 3 . All in all a very fine sounding pressing that preserves all of this fine performance intact with no detractions.

Records that have been auditioned are cleaned on a VPI 16.5 with Disc Doctor fluids and provided with a fresh Nitty Gritty inner sleeve . I do not audition all records, only those that are older and/or have some signs of wear and tear. I do not always listen all the way through on both sides, but rather untill I have a good feel for the sound quality of the LP or just can't stop listening !

 HOW I GRADE:

I have been a used RECORD & BOOKSELLER for almost 20 years. I evaluate very conservatively in the following manner:

        I use GOLDMINE'S grading system:

1. A MINT record (abbreviated as M) should appear to have just left the manufacturer without any handling. That is, it should appear perfect. This designation is hardly ever used.
2. A NEAR MINT record (NM) appears Mint but has one or two tiny, inconsequential flaws that do not affect the play. Covers should still be close to perfect with minor signs of wear or age just becoming evident. Slight ring wear, minor denting to the corner, or writing should all be noted properly.
3. A VERY GOOD PLUS  record (VG+) has been handled and played either infrequently or very carefully. On a disc this may mean that there are light paper scuffs; the vinyl may have lost some - not all - of its original luster. A slight scratch that does not affect play would be VG+; a scratch that audibly clicks would not be acceptable. On the covers, some wear from storage/handling is acceptable, especially light wear that does not afect the artwork. Again, all flaws are listed.
4. VERY GOOD (VG) records will display visible signs of handling and playing such as loss of vinyl luster, light surface scatches, groove wear, and spindle trails from countless spins on the turntable. A VG record looks like it will have some audible surface noise, although any such noise should not overwhelm the music. The VG cover would have a variety of problems: ring wear, seam splits, bent corners, loss of gloss, stains, etc. An aggravated combination of two of these problems - never all of them - would cause a sleeve to be graded VG.

All records and sleeves are separated with 3 layers of bubble wrap, within a sturdy Lp cardboard box. I specialize in rare music/books and make it a special concern of mine to insure that your purchase arrives as quickly and as safely as possible.
