ON TO SOME GOOD JAZZ ITEMS!! This is a reasonably priced ORIGINAL 1961 U.S. COLUMBIA 6-EYE MONO PRESSING OF THE 1961 LP titled 'Someday My Prince WIll Come', featuring jazz trumpet legend Miles Davis and his stellar 1960s-era combo, featuring John Coltrane. It is Columbia Records catalog number CL 1656, 1961 6-eye pressing, 1B/1F stampers in the runout area. Personnel: Miles Davis-trumpet / John Coltrane-tenor sax / Hank Mobley-tenor sax / Wynton Kelly-piano / Paul Chambers-bass / Jimmy Cobb-drums. Tracks-Someday My Prince Will Come, Old Folks, Pfrancing, Drad-Dog, Teo, I Thought About You. Visual condition of record is a nice high VG+/VG++ with a few surface and sleeve marks, none of which can be felt and none of which affect play - Overall this record is a real good player with a tiny bit of light scattered surface noise. Labels have no real problems. Condition of cover is conservatively a high VG+ with some unobtrusive wear along the edges of the front cover slick, a little age discoloration, some contact wear, and a little general wear along the edges of the cover and on the corners in areas not covered by shrinkwrap. Cover has no splits, tears, writing, or stickers. This 1961 6-eye mono LP would be a choice addition to any Miles Davis, John Coltrane, or modern jazz record collection!
