We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback.   We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. "Venus & Mars" has the feel of a concept album but we're not sure what the concept is meant to be - unless it's pure, simple, fun, well crafted pop-rock perfection. It opens atmospherically with "Venus And Mars" and "Rock Show" and continues with a string of fantastic pop-rock gems.This is the last truly great Paul solo/Wings record. Right off, the eleborate Hipgnosis album packaging, with all the inserts, is a work of genius!   Opening the album is the "Venus And Mars/Rock Show" segue – a really good rocker – which gives the impression of a harder, more structured approach but nothing could be further from the truth. What with "You Gave Me The Answer" – a distorted vocal simulating a vaudevillian atmosphere is very reminiscent, at least in tone, of Queen's "Seaside Rendezvous", the hook-laden tribute to comic book heroes "Magneto And Titanium Man" and the dancing super catchy injections of the album's massive hit "Listen To What The Man Said", it's clear McCartney's muse continues to scamper between musical genres. The high-spot may even be "Medicine Jar", a plea by McCartney to guitarist Jimmy McCulloch to get straight, a plea that went ignored as he died of an overdose four years later aged 26. It is simple, infectious and memorable and may even remain in the listeners head for years. Other highlights are the slow burning "Letting Go", the oddly psychedelic "Spirits Of Ancient Egypt" and the sweet "Love In Song".

Paul McCartney seems to be one of those artists that is easy to ridicule and dismiss – that nothing he did outside of The Beatles has any relevance or merit and that even then he was frivolous when compared to Lennon. Nonsense really. Venus And Mars will never be considered an exemplar of twentieth century music but it is a lot of fun and surely that can't be a bad thing.
