MEGARARE and HARD-TO-FIND Ariola Records very first Stereo press released by Ariola Records, made and distributed in Chile in 1981 by Quatro Ltd. (Quatro Records), licensed from Ariola International Group, Germany, catalog number ARS 10068, with hand etched matrix numbers ARS-10.068 A in Side A and ARS-10.068 B in Side B, with traditional silver/black Ariola Records labels. Yes, Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!

“Santa Maria De La Mer” was originally released in 1978 in France but we had to wait until 1981 to see this single released here in Chile, but we got it in Spanish, with song in Side B also sung in Spanish. If you know this single you will know that original French issue has song “Toi L'indien Mon Ami” as Side B, but here in Chile the song in Side B is “Acropolis Adieu”, originally released in France in 1971 (as Side B of “Mille Fois Bravo”). Song titles are written in Spanish, translated to French in the case of “Santa Maria De La Mer” and in Spanish only in the case of “Acropolis Adieu”, with full credits for songwriters and Spanish lyricist, with additional information about licenses. So, here you have the chance to get and own this MEGARARE and UNIQUE single RELEASED ONLY IN CHILE with Mireille Mathieu singing both songs in Spanish!!! WOW!!! A MUST TO HAVE for all fans, lovers and collectors of Mireille Mathieu and French Chanson!!!

This record doesn’t have a cover. The record is in VG or VG+ condition both sides, glossy and clean, with many soft scuffs and hairlines and some very light scratches, with an evident warp, which don’t affect play at all. Labels on both sides are in great EX or EX+ condition, clean and clear, with only very minimal spindle hole wear, some residues of a sticker in Side A and the stamp of the radio station which originally owned this record. The sound is in strong EX+ or even NM- condition the Side A, loud, clear and clean, virtually no background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), with a soft click caused for the scratch informed, and in EX or even EX+ condition the Side B, loud, clear and clean, with only minimal crackles here and there, more evident at the last second of the song, with 2 light clicks, and in VG+ or EX- condition the Side B, loud. Clear and clean, with soft constant crackles and some occasional light clicks, which of course don’t cause major distraction from the great sound this record keeps from the beginning to the end. Overall, this is a record maybe not for the strictest Minty minds or audiophiles, but sure it keeps a nice glossy look, almost perfect labels and still a great sound quality after 36 years, which won’t disappoint anyone!!! And don’t forget this single with these songs was ONLY RELEASED IN CHILE and both songs are sung IN SPANISH!!! Yes, Sirs, what a FIND!!! We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.

MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.

NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.

EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.

We have an unique value worldwide:

GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending on thickness of the vinyl)

GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")

GBP10 for one 7” record

All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.

We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for.
