Description
In 1987 I was strolling High Street while visiting Columbus, Ohio when I stumbled across a used record store called Capital City Records. I'd been collecting Misfits stuff since 1985, but didn't have anything REALLY rare in my collection yet. That changed inside the doors of Capital City.
Todd Swalla, drummer for the Necros, had given a few of his personal Misfits records to the Capital City owner to sell on consignment. The records had been given to Todd by Glenn Danzig as thanks for filling in on drums for a Misfits gig. The owner also told me that Glenn himself would come by the store whenever he was in town, so he could shop for rare Elvis records. Anyway, out of the little stash, I picked up this first press "Bullet," & a rare record habit was instantly formed.
The vinyl looks very clean, no visible scratches that I can tell. I played it a few times in the day, but it hasn't seen a turntable in probably 15 years!
Gatefold cover, has a bloodstain on the interior. Danzig DNA, anyone?!
Lyric sheet is, of course, the correct one with "dirt" & not "dint." No boots here, Fiends.
I'm including the original plastic sleeve I bought this in, which has the Capital City Records sticker with the whopping $75 price tag on it. Hey, in 1987 that was big money for a Misfits record! I'm also including a small note that the store owner later mailed to me with the prices of Todd's remaining stock: Halloween $50, Hallowen promo pic $25, NOTLD $75, 3 Hits $50. Wow!! Those were the days!
Like I said, I've been collecting Misfits stuff since 1985, and can verify that this is a legit press, or I guarantee your money refunded back. I'll probably shed a tear or two when this one goes! NO PAYPAL! Shipping box priority only for $6.95, insurance optional & at buyers expense. Thanks for looking!
