"Mixed Bag" was an all-star quintet from the Detroit area, a project initiated by Bob James to support saxiphonist Sonny Stitt in the last years of his life.  Bob James on "Mixed Bag": "Call it what you like - jazz, soul, Latin, pop - they've got it all covered".
