Description
This auction is for a self titled one by The Modern Jazz Sextet recorded in 1956 on the deep groove Norgran label # MG-N-1076. The jacket is vg to vg with a name top right, some corner wear, and a 2" split on the top spine. This 55 year old vinyl has a few lite scuffs and scratches and a lot of shine and plays vg++. Songs include: Tour De France, Dizzy Meets Sonny, Ballad Medley: Old Folks, What's New, How Deep is the Ocean (how high is the sky), Mean To Me, and Blues For Bird. Artists include: Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Stitt, John Lewis, Skeeter Best, Percy Heath, and Charlie Persip. A great piece of jazz history. This will make a nice addition to someone's collection.
