Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. Recorded in 1965, RUBBER SOUL was a turning point in the Beatles progressions, and on into psychedelia that followed...
This version follows the original British release and is far superior to the USA issue in that it contains 14 tracks ...the lyrics represented a quantum leap in terms of thoughtfulness, maturity, and complex ambiguities. Musically, too, it was a substantial leap forward, with intricate folk-rock arrangements that reflected the increasing influence of Dylan and the Byrds. The group and George Martin were also beginning to expand the conventional instrumental parameters of the rock group, using a sitar on "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)," Greek-like guitar lines on "Michelle" and "Girl," fuzz bass on "Think for Yourself," and a piano made to sound like a harpsichord on the instrumental break of "In My Life." While John and Paul were beginning to carve separate songwriting identities at this point, the album is full of great tunes, from "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)" and "Michelle" to "Girl," "You Won't See Me," "Drive My Car," and "Nowhere Man" (the last of which was the first Beatle song to move beyond romantic themes entirely). George Harrison was also developing into a fine songwriter with his two contributions, "Think for Yourself" and the Byrds-ish "If I Needed Someone." "I'm Looking Through You" with its varied elements, is peppered with nasty fuzz bass, exotic sitar, cartoonishly sped-up piano that sounds like harpsichord. The album reveals a creative scope and willingness to experiment so revolutionary it can now only be termed "Beatlesque."
Characteristically, they achieved a new musical sophistication and a greater thematic depth without sacrificing any of their pop appeal status...Though some might argue that the Beatles' unprecedented evolution from British Invasion pin-ups to pop music visionaries began with BEATLES FOR SALE, RUBBER SOUL is without a doubt the first album to definitively put the Fab Four in the running for Greatest Band Ever.

CONDITION: The cover very fragile laminated UK production with flipback seams is solid all around; the front cover is "EX" (excellent), looks fine! The back cover is also clean with exception of discoloration along far right side, border, maybe from coffee (?) VG, otherwise is clean and has the old UK '60s flipback seams ... no pronounced bends, no split seams, no writing...
The vinyl: has lots of shine, but also light hair scuffs visible - not deep, nothing you can 'feel', so playsed quite well, hear only some light passive surface, not over the music. Rated about VG(+) visual, plays exceptionally better mostly in excellent audio zones... Both UK Parlophone labels are clean, with RARE "1962" misprint
