Condition : cover in hard cardboard shows a few impressions  of minimal wear in the lower part of the back, NEAR MINT / vinyl has few minor signs and cosmetic rubs which affect listening with a bit of surface noise in the flat record surface - the land between the grooves - which separates a track with another or in other words in dead waxes, EX+

GRADAZIONE RIGOROSA - STRICTLY GRADED

Copertine e vinili sono visualmente gradati dopo un’attenta osservazione sotto la luce del sole fatta sulla mia terrazza a tetto. Nelle giornate grigie il controllo viene effettuato sotto una forte lampada alogena con l’aiuto di una lente d’ingrandimento. Tutti i dischi in asta sono stati interamente ascoltati, i 33 giri su un giradischi Rega Planar 3 fornito di una testina a magnete mobile Grado Statement 1 mentre gli EP e i singoli a 45 giri con un Thorens TD 166 BC fornito di una testina, sempre MM, Goldring 1006. Ritenendo che le abituali classificazioni quali Mint, Ex, Vg, ecc., ecc… siano poco significative per spiegare le reali condizioni dei dischi ed anche estremamente soggettive, precedo sempre tali classificazioni con una breve descrizione degli eventuali difetti che ho riscontrato, ad eccezione di Mint- che il più alto grado che conferisco a qualsiasi disco. Soltanto per le copie ancora sigillate all’origine utilizzo MINT/MINT.

Sleeves and vinyls are visually graded after a careful check in bright sunshine on my roof terrace. In the gray days I watch the records under a strong halogen lamp with the help of a magnifying glass. All records in auction have been fully heard. Lps on a Rega Planar 3 turntable with a Grado Statement 1 moving magnet cartridge, EPs and singles 45 rpm. on a Thorens TD 166 BC turntable with a Goldring 1006 MM cartridge. Considering that the usual classifications such as Mint, EX, Vg, etc…, etc… are not significant to explain the real condition of the records in addition to a total subjectivity of opinion, I always introduce before these classifications a short description concerning any defects I have verified with the exception of Mint minus, the highest grade I declare. I use MINT/MINT exclusively for the still from factory sealed copies.

Note : mai banale, mai scontata a priori la musica di Morricone. Facile supporre che un film sulla storia di un criminale abbia caratteristiche adatte a questa tipologia di film. In realtà, ascoltando il disco con attenzione ci si accorge che i temi più rilevanti potrebbero riferirsi a una storia d’amore, a un western o a un thriller. Tutto ciò accade anche con altri compositori bravi, abili ma senza mai arrivare con le loro musiche a quell'apice che soltanto il Maestro sa raggiungere. Partiamo dal primo brano “Una Stanza Vuota” cantata da Lisa Gastoni. Qui la bella vocalità dell'attrice è accompagnata dal suono metallico di un'ottima chitarra elettrica, dalla batteria e dal coro di Alessandroni in sottofondo. “Una Tromba a Dallas” (b4) ha un ritmo spinto che alterna il vigoroso suono della tromba di Lacerenza a sonorità beat di chitarra e batteria oltre ad un efficacissima linea di basso e alla partecipazione del coro di Alessandroni. “La Prima vittima” (a5) è ricca di un suono cupo che riflette tensione con pianoforte, coro e percussioni che aumentano d’intensità con l’ingresso dei vocalizzi presumibilmente di Edda Dell’Orso. “Svegliati e Uccidi” (b1) include una chitarra elettrica dal suono tagliente quasi ad imitazione di certi effetti sonori, i magnifici vocalizzi di Edda (?), fiati e percussioni che evocano una tumultuosa drammaticità.

I titoli dei dieci brani possono esser letti guardando il retrocopertina raffigurato nella scansione n° 2.

Notes : the music by Morricone is never banal, never predictable in advance. Easy to assume that a film concerning the story of a criminal has suitable features to this type of film. Actually, listening to the record carefully, we realize that the more significant themes could relate to a love story, a Western or a thriller. This also happens with other talented, skillful composers, but without the achievement for their music of the pinnacle that only Maestro knows to reach. Just it starts from the first track "Una Stanza Vuota" sung by Lisa Gastoni. Here the actress's beautiful vocality is accompanied by the metallic sound of an excellent electric guitar, the drums and with chorus of Alessandroni in the background. "Una Tromba a Dallas" (b4) has a fast rhythm that alternates the strong sound of the trumpet of Lacerenza to Beat music by guitar and drums in addition to a remarkable bass line and involvement of the Alessandroni chorus. “La Prima vittima” (a5) is full of a gloomy sound reflecting tension with piano, chorus and percussion which increase in intensity with the arrival of the great vocalizations, presumably by Edda Dell'Orso. “Svegliati e Uccidi” (b1) contains an electric guitar from the sharp sound almost in imitation of certain sound effects, the magnificent vocalizations of Edda (?), wind instruments and percussiveness evoking a tumultuous drama.
