1953 RCA BLUES 45
Ever heard of Mr. Sad Head ? He was a blues artist who recorded for RCA Victor for only a little while, leaving behind only 4 singles, all between 1951-1953. This is one of his best !
When Bob Dylan played his track “Hot Weather Blues” on his XM radio show he said: “He could have called himself “heavy-hearted head,” “melancholy head,” “mournful head” or “sorry head,” “unhappy head,” “blue head” or “dejected head.” “Down head” or “dispirited head.” But instead, he called himself “Mr. Sad Head.” It fits better on the label…..”
This single pairs his great blues tune “Make Haste” with “Black Diamond.” It was his final single for RCA and is very, very scarce.
