Description

MUDDY WATERS - 'AT NEWPORT 1960.' MONO. UK original 1st pressing on textured PYE/NIXA labels. NJL 34. (1960). Front laminated flipback sleeve. Mega-heavy vinyl - 176 grams! Clean as a whistle - Near Mint.

UK original first press. Extremely hard to find in any condition. This copy is EX+/Near Mint. Find another one!

Laminated flipback sleeve is in superb clean condition. Slightly dinged at the bottom left corner and a slight laminate crease at top right, but for a 51 year old LP not bad at all!  The rear of the sleeve is clean and white and as good as you could hope to find. Two initials 'J.J' and the date 18/9/61. are written lightly and discreetly in black biro at the top of the rear sleeve.

Labels are flawless and clean.

Sleeve is printed by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending.
Includes the orignal blue/white/black printed inner sleeve with Pye branding.

This is the earliest 1st press UK variant from 1960/1961. Not to be confused with the 1964 UK re-issue on Chess. Very rare like this!!
