Madame CHIANG KAI-SHECK
Address Before Congress as broadcast February 18, 1943
This appears to be the complete address on one 33 1/3 LP disc on Victrolac plastic that uses a 1 mil stylus.
It runs c. 21. It begins, "Mister Speaker" and ends, "soul of a nation." Forward, excellent sound.
12" NBC 12" LCS-0889856 E+ condition. One visible needle drop plays through on side 1, clicks twice here, and another on side 2, clicks a few times. There are occasional other lighter marks.
Though not as fragile as shellac, Victrolac pressings are more prone to wear. This is in in better condition than most.
The label reads, in part, RECORDED PROGRAM/ Historic War Speeches "This program is made available by the Domestic Radio Bureau Office of War Information for distribution to schools throughout the F.R.E.C. Script and Transcription Exchange, U.S. Office of Education, 620 11th St. N.W., Washington DC. This program may not be used for radio broadcast purposes."
The rubber stamp on side 1 reads, "Return to Educational Script and Transcription Exchange, U.S.Office of Education, Washington, D.C." There is a small numbered sticker on each side and an inked shelf number scratched out in red on side 1. See scan.
