I bought these from a friend who was cleaning out a home here in Atlanta. he was going to trash them because they had no writing on them except for the date february 18, 1943. so I got them from him not knowing if there was any thing on them. to my surprise when I played them they was a voice of one introducing someone. as I listed closely I heard the name Madame Chiang Kai-Shek. I thought I knew the name from history that I had studied some years ago and sure enough it was her speech to congress given february 18, 1943. it was her entire address on 4 metal disc. what is interesting is that theses we original recording down on home recorder done at the time of the speech. it seems that the person or persons had a Howard home recorder and recorded this historic event, Madame Chiang Kai-shek (Soong May-ling) was the 2nd women and the !st Chinese national to address the US Congress. She speaks to them during a critical time in the history of humanity. A world at war. the records are metal not vinyl they are in very good condition for there age. there are some marks on them from being played and moved around over time. but they play well. remember theses are 78 old records so they don't play like stereo records. these records are very had to find especially since they were recorded at the time of the speech and not a later period.
this world be a great addition to any collection.
