Description
This is by far the rarest item that I have ever come across. It was issued by mail order for a brief time only--very, very few were ever sold.
Through years of collecting, i have literally never come across a complete set.
(a recent eBay auction for a VG+ LP 2 and the book alone went for $7700.00--look it up on popsike.)
to answer a question from a watcher, these are absolutely first editions, from 1951 & 1953.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE ARTWORK FOR THIS SET IS COMPLETE, but THE RECORD FOR VOLUME 2 IS MISSING...
noone would really want this for the vinyl anyway, and records for LP 1 is included, as described...
ALL ARTWORK IS COMPLETELY INTACT AND IN GREAT SHAPE, AS SHOWN...
These are the rarest of Andy Warhol covers, published by Doubleday in 1951 & 1953.
They're really museum pieces and are in fantastic condition considering their age and the flimsy paper construction of the LP jackets.
I have done my best to take representative pictures of the complete set.
I do hate to part with this set, but will entertain all reasonable offers--the price really has to be right.

there are NO TEARS at all in either paper cover, and the edges are all intact.
RECORD 1:
truly in fantastic shape--it's a VG++
LP is in solid VG++ condition
RECORD 2:
light fading, looking slightly worse on the lower third of the jacket
LP is not included, as clearly stated above
BOOK:
Jacket and dustcover are in solid VG+ condition, with light wear from age--there is a small tear in the top left of the dustcover, as shown
pages are very lightly yellowed but no worse than expected considering its age
I will very carefully package and ship this item priority mail at no extra charge
