On offer here is an INCREDIBLY RARE WHITE LABEL PROMO UK VERTIGO RECORDS VINYL LP FROM 1970 ENTITLED 'SEASONS' BY MAGNA CARTA.The LP did not come with a record sleeve,but simply in a white polylined inner-sleeve.However it did come with a COMPANY BAND PHOTO included inside.The band and album name(including corrected near spelling mistake) and tracks were hand-written onto the white label and both sides had 'on Vertigo 17th July 1970' also hand-written on.The white inner-sleeve simply had '6360003'(the catalogue number) hand-written on the top left-hand corner of one side and some letters and numbers(meaning unknown) written on the other side.Some of the writing on the white labels has smudged slightly(a result of a clean that lead to an improvement of the vinyl but the aforementioned smudging).And so to the grading of the condition.The plain white polylined inner-sleeve has much creasing and browning around the edges and a few small folds and tears around the circular centre.I will grade as VERY GOOD.The company band photo showing the three members(about post-card size) is in superb condition still and I will grade as EXCELLENT.The vinyl still looks visually excellent and plays without any skips or jumps,but there is a lot of light background crackle throughout the album and I will describe it as accurately and honestly as possible.On Side 2 it is not bad at all as the vocals and instumentation on the various songs come through sharply and powerfully and you only mainly hear the crackle between the tracks and on quieter passages.On Side 1,however,the one long track has much spoken word on it and you tend to notice the background crackle that much more.The end of each side on ejection(i.e the dead wax) is also a little noisy,but this is,of course,after the music has finished.I will grade as VERY GOOD. As I said previously,the vinyl still looks excellent and so could probably benefit from a good,professional clean.All in all,not perfect,but surely a very interesting item in the collectable Vertigo canon.In summary:
