(Stay Tuned for More!), on offer is a superb exemplar of the famous Telarc Full Digital Teldec German vinyl import issue of Gustav Mahler's majestic and lyric Symphony No. 2. The great Leonard Slatkin leads with insightful skill the Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, beloved ensembles that Slatkin did much to build up and refine. Vocal Soloists are the superb, perfectly matched, and gorgeously recorded Kathleen Battle and Maureen Forrester. Disk first issued in 1983 to the delight of audiophile vinyl hounds the world over. Directly digitally recorded, digitally edited, and digitally mastered. Disk Mastering and production by German Teldec on heavy German vinyl. This example is First Edition with Very Early Pressings: Disk Deadwax hand-engraved A-2 (Side 1); B-4 (Side 2), C-3 (Side 3), and D-2 (Side 4). Under bright light, Disks appear flawless and pristine, no scratches, scuffs, hairlines, or other marks at all.
