THE BEATLES 'SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND' 1969 MONO LP.

Scarce fourth press reissue LP pressed in Great Britain and released on Parlophone PMC 7027.

Matrix numbers etc:

Side 1: XEX 637 - 1          2          MOG.

   Side 2: XEX 638 - 1          0*          MOA.

*Has a small hook like shape leading off the top of the '0'.

Has had a few plays as there are  a few spider lines around the centre holes but they are close to the holes. 

When tilted under normal lighting  side 1 has x2 non-sounding scratches [2-3 cms. long] towards the end of the side at about 10 o'clock with x2 much smaller [a few mms.] non-sounding scratches nearby. Side 2 has a couple of faint surface scuffs and a needle line which runs 3/4 of the way across the side at about 9 o'clock, none of thses effect play.

Under halogen lights both sides have just a few more light marks visible. 

Play grades as EX/EX-.

All musical/vocal passages play clearly & brightly. Has no sticks, skips or jumps and no evidence of groove wear.

There is some crackle in the run in/out areas. There is also a little brief, quiet surface noise in places with side 2 having a little more than side 1 . There is also some crackle in the long fade out at the end of side 2.

Laminated gatefold sleeve made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. grades EX.

 The spine has been flattened but the spine text is still readily legible. There are a couple of corner 'bumps' but no storage wear on the top & bottom edges.

Sepia EMI LP advertising inner grades as EX.

No cut-outs insert present.

I dispatch records in brand new, bought in mailers designed for the process. Before placing in the mailer I take LPs out of the sleeve place both in a polysleeve and between two card stiffeners and if there is a picture sleeve I place the LP in a plain sleeve to prevent knifing of the picture sleeve. [all this costs £0.80/single LP].

I USE RECORD COLLECTOR GRADINGS AND USE A +/- WHERE I FEEL THAT IT'S APPROPRIATE.

(M) MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.

(EX) EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of being played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging may have slight wear and/or creasing.

(VG) VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

(G) GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

(F) FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

(P) POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

(B) BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.  

I normally ship within 1/2 working days of receipt of payment.
