Description
This is a UK MONO 1st pressing, of The Beatles 'Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' LP on the black & yellow Parlophone label in lovely condition. The gatefold sleeve is graded MINT MINUS, it still looks almost brand new with just one tiny light laminate creases to the rear near the spine and a tiny bit of light wear to the inner flipbacks (see photo). I have never seen a nicer 1st press cover! The spine is intact with the title fully readable. The vinyl is quite awesome, beautifully clean and glossy, just a few very light hairlines from sleeve removal visible only under very bright light only though there is line of tiny marks across Side 2 which looks as though it may be a pressing fault. They make no difference to the playback which is fantastic throughout with no problems of any kind to report. Even the gaps berween tracks and the very end of "A Day in the life" are virtually silent. It has been clearly been played very carefully very few times and it is hard to imagine a better example. The labels are very clean with very few traces of wear, they carry the correct "Gramophone Co.." & "Sold in the UK.." credits. The red & white inner is fully intact and clean, graded MINT MINUS as is the cut-out sheet. A fantastic copy all round that would definitely satisfy anyone looking for a final upgrade.
