Description

This is the third and final LP by Mandrake Memorial, released on the Poppy label, as PYS 40006. Mandrake Memorial were a Philadelphia based  band that existed from about 1969-1971. Largely ignored outside their home town at the time, they have been garnering much more interest in recent years and their 3 LPs have become very collectible. Many consider this LP to be their best, and it certainly is an interesting record with its use of electronics and atmospheric vocals. Tracks seem to drift from one to another in a dreamlike way, with recurring themes cropping up from time to time The sleeve features an M.C. Escher design. There is no insert, however, although the original inside sleeve is included.

Condition:  Vinyl is in VG+ condition, with excellent shine, no wear, no spindle marks and just a few surface marks. Unfortunately this is not a great pressing, and there is surface noise evident throughout, although it improves halfway through side 2. The photo of the label was done using flash as the lettering is silver which does not photograph well.

Sleeve is VG+. Just a little wear evident on the front and back, and also inside the gatefold. This is stoutly made sleeve which has survived the years well. No tears or sticker marks. Original inside sleeve has not survived as well, with some splits on all sides.
