Description
FONTANA Records TL 5470 VG+/VG++ MONO 1968. matrix nos. 687991 1L 1 420/2L 1 420 UK original album in MONO!! A curious ending for Manfred Mann with the Fontana label!! Basically, the UK Mighty Garvey! album is similiar to the US version of The Mighty Quinn album. Except Mighty Garvey! includes 3 different versions of the song, Happy Families, a rock, a jazz, and a sing-a-long!! A GREAT album, full of pop songs!! Laminated cover is solid and very clean, bit of ringwear and creasing, small 1 inch tear at opening. The vinyl has a brilliant shine and very clean, small, light paper scuff on side 1, otherwise near mint!! The labels have NO spindle marks. A BEAUTY!!
As Always, ALL records are from MY OWN PERSONAL collection of OVER 47 years and again..NO JUNK!!!
I specialize in selling PROMOTIONAL albums in rock n' roll and jazz from the 1960's and 1970's. PROMO albums are usually pressed from the original master tapes in an extremely limited quantity, and are 1ST pressings!!! Many are issued with white labels, others have radio timing strips on the cover, just a promo sticker or gold cover stamps. Given out selectively to radio stations before the stock release, they generally have superior sound quality, are RARE, collectable, and getting VERY SCARCE!!!
PLEASE NOTE: I clean all my records with a PROFESSIONAL Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine, if necessary. I pack ALL records carefully. Records are placed outside of the record cover in a clear plastic record sleeve. Albums are bubble wrapped for safety and mailed in a STRONG cardboard record mailer box.
