Marilyn Monroe / Yves Montand / Frankie Vaughan – Let's Make Love (An Original Sound Track Recording) LP
Hard to find good British 1st release. Featuring music by Cole Porter, Sammy Cahn and Jimmy Van Heusen.
This 20th Century-Fox movie (1960, dir. George Cukor) starred Marilyn Monroe, Yves Montand and Tony Randall.
Condition Vinyl: F. Unsoiled on visual inspection. Four obvious hairlines and lots of scuff marks on side 1. Side 2 has multiple marks, scuffs but no deep scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity of vocals and orchestra is good despite lots of surface noise and crackling. Static and surface noise at both run-ins and in between cues. No skipping, jumping or sticking. A fair listening experience. Little more than a collection filler perhaps.
Outer sleeve (cover): F. Superb laminated front suffers from dents, creases plus tears and delamination in places along edges. Corners and edges badly worn and spine shows some damage but text readable. Aperture soiled but not showing much wear. Back of sleeve badly stained across most of upper text and aperture and in a few other places but flipbacks present and attached. Part missing in top right corner. Bottom edge split in middle.
Inner sleeve: VG. White paper with rounded corners. Some folding and creasing but clean and intact.
