McCoy Tyner - Time For Tyner
(Blue Note Records BST 84307 USA Stereo LP 1969)
This is a 1969 USA original Stereo LP pressing. It has a heavyweight matte sleeve. The rear sleeve has the ""Liberty/ UA, Los Angeles, California" address printed on it. It comes with its original company plain paper inner sleeve. The record is pressed on thick vinyl & has blue & white "Blue Note" labels. These are lightly grooved also. The labels have the "Blue Note records - A Division of Liberty Records..." text on them. The record has 1st press BNST 84307-A and BNST 84307-B matrix numbers. These are machine stamped in the dead wax. "Van Gelder" is machine stamped in the dead wax on both sides too.
This is a genuine USA Stereo 1st pressing of this excellent late 1960's Post Bop/ Modern Jazz LP. I have some other rare & collectable UK original 1960's & 1970's Jazz, Prog, Psych, Rock etc... LP's for sale. Please see my other listings.
Sleeve: There is considerable rubbing wear along the majority of the top edge. This has caused a seam split along the entirety of the top edge. There is mild, very mild or more moderate rubbing wear along the entirety of the bottom edge. This has caused an 8 cm seam split on the bottom edge. This runs from the sleeve opening corner tip. There is mild, moderate or more considerable rubbing wear on the spine face. It is back to bare board on many places. The spine text has been completely rubbed away. There is light fading on the rear sleeve. There is some light, mild or very mild rubbing wear on the sleeve opening edges on some areas. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear on a few areas. Overall, Fair++ condition
Vinyl: There is a very mild 10 cm surface sleeve rub mark that goes across Side 2. There are a couple of very mild surface rub marks at the start of Side 2. There is a very mild 1.5 cm hairline surface mark on Side 1. There are two light 2 cm hairline surface marks at the start of Side 1. Otherwise, there are some light, mild, very mild or very minor surface sleeve rubs which can hardly be seen under a strong light. The original inner sleeve, over time, has left some light, mild, very mild or very minor dull surface marks. These can only be seen under a strong light. Overall, Very Good condition. The labels are in Very Good++ condition & show light or very mild spindle wear. There is some light or very minor foxing on a few areas.
The company plain paper inner sleeve is in Very Good+ condition. There is some light, mild or very mild ringwear, fading & creasing. There are no seam splits.
I have fully play tested this LP. It plays Very Good+ to Near Excellent overall & Excellent in some places. There is some light, mild, very mild or very minor crackle in some quieter places. There are no clicks or pops. Overall, a very decent audio copy.
