This is the Motown Records 1962 release of The Supremes first album, Meet The Supremes - Record number 606.  This is the 1st pressing of this album on the earlier Motown Map Logo, later versions depicted a not so broad area of the map of Detroit.  The cover is graded a nice VG for several reasons:  There is some lite wear in spots to the red background and some chipping on the top and bottom seam but the seams are still intact but not tight like when new.  On the left boarder near the spine there are a few small creases in that area that go in from approx 1/4" to approx 1/2".  The back cover slick was adhered slightly askew when originally manufactured and there is some paper loss in the upper right hand side and the back cover slick is several shades off from the original stark white it was when manufactured.  Yes, this is a lot to take in of the description of the cover, but want to give all the reasons for my VG grade of the cover.  The record is graded Side 1 a nice very clean VG and basically not graded higher as the old paper sleeve left some very lite spots here and there, and I noticed a few lite thin lines.  Others may grade this VG+ or higher, but I would grade it a very clean VG.  Side 2 is graded VG- as there are several marks when viewing this.  I viewed it under a bright bare light bulb, and then tilted it in bright sunlight early this afternoon.  When viewing in sunlight, side 2 showed more marks then when viewing with a bare light bulb, so they ARE there and am grading it VG-.  Both sides play very well and it appears this may have been pressed at Motown's Hollywood Pressing Plant.  Usually there is an "H" in the out-groove to indicate the Hollywood Plant, but there is no "H" in this out-groove and am not sure what year they actually started the practice of the "H".  I'm suggesting the Hollywood Pressing Plant as a large majority of their pressings used a different type-set for the labels, and it appears these labels are using that heavier type set.  Shipping in the U.S. is $5.25 and if you would like Insurance, that is optional, but can be added on.  If you win more than one auction I will calculate to save you on shipping.
